Gravel Grind West (GGW) Ballinrobe

Gravel Grind West Ballinrobe is a thrilling gravel cycling adventure through South Mayo, featuring three route options: 65km 'Ramble' (scenic social loop), 100km 'Odyssey' (exploring hidden hill tracks, forest trails, and remote valleys), and 200km (Mayo's answer to the TRAKA - a self-supported, mostly off-tarmac gravel adventure taking in Lough Mask and Carra). This non-competitive event traverses tracks, trails, ancient pathways, bog roads, and wind-blasted Atlantic terrain. Routes include the Bowers Way, Creagh Woods, shores of Lough Mask & Lough Carra, Partry Hills, Tochar Phádraig pilgrim route, Ballintubber Abbey, Clogher Forge, and Moorehall House & Woods. GPS navigation is the guiding system. The only race is against yourself and the cutoff time. Fully marked routes with GPX files, feed stations, and on-course support available.
