Highland Fling 53 Mile Ultra Trail Marathon

Point-to-point trail ultramarathon along the southern 53 miles of Scotland's iconic West Highland Way trail. Hosting the 2026 Scottish Ultra Trail Championships. Distance: 53 miles (85 km) with 2300m ascent and 2100m descent. Terrain: 90% trail / 10% road. Entry criteria: Must have completed an ultramarathon, road marathon or trail marathon after 1st January 2024. Road marathon finish time must be under 5 hours. Minimum age 20 years old. No support runners/pacers allowed. Mandatory gear includes emergency foil blanket, waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof trousers, headtorch, and charged mobile phone.
