Il Lombardia (Tour of Lombardy)

One of cycling's five Monuments, nicknamed 'Classic of the falling leaves'. The last major professional race before the off-season break. Covers approximately 250 km on roads north of Milan around lakes Como, Lecco, Varese, and Bergamo. The most famous climb is the Madonna del Ghisallo, 10.6 km long with average gradient of 5.2%. Running since 1905.
