Mexico City Marathon

The International Marathon of Mexico City is the most significant road race in Latin America and one of the best in the world. Awarded the Gold Label by World Athletics, it gathers 30,000 runners from 60 countries. The course starts at UNAM University Stadium and passes major landmarks including the Angel of Independence, Soumaya Museum, and Chapultepec Park, finishing at Zocalo Square. At 2,240 meters altitude, this race requires runners to be accustomed to thinner air. It is qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
