The Gravel of Marathon

The Gravel of Marathon is the first UCI Gravel World Series race to take place in Greece, organized by the MBike team. Located in the historic town of Marathon — famous for the Battle of Marathon in 490 BC and the classic marathon running route. Features two demanding routes: a long course of 121 km with 2,020 meters of elevation gain, and a shorter 86 km course with 1,430 meters of elevation gain. Both routes are approximately 90% off-road. Qualification spots for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships are awarded to elite riders and age categories from both routes. The course includes a 300-meter concrete wall with 12% gradient, gravel sections along Lake Marathon, a 600-meter climb with up to 11% gradient, and finishes over the iconic Marathon Dam.
